Nov 2024 • Friends Temi, very ably assisted by his brother Alazar and two drivers, took us on a comprehensive and engaging tour of the Southern Peoples & Nations in Oromia and around Addis Ababa. With the exception of Addis Ababa where we stayed in the same hotel for four nights and Turmi where we stayed in Buskan Lodge for two nights, each day was a different hotel to maximise what we got to see and experience. Owing to UK FCDO travel advice, our bespoke tour had to change a number of times between its inception in March 2023 and the tour taking place in November; they even accommodated changes during the tour itself to respect areas we could not travel to due to tourist insurance. Certainly felt looked after and had access to things we certainly could not have done alone. It was an absolute pleasure to meet them and to be shown around this incredible and very diverse countries."
